European Relations is launching its Ukraine Section and looking for dedicated Analysts to contribute regularly to the Ukraine Section’s remote team (about one to two articles per month). This is a flexible remote position with room for your own interests and voice.
In the Ukraine Section of European Relations, Analysts and Editors collaborate on publishing high-quality articles concerning Europe and Ukraine, making Ukrainian affairs a central part of European discourse.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Write one to two articles per month that provide analysis and commentary on current European issues from a Ukrainian perspective, as well as Ukrainian affairs from a European perspective, and events or developments in Ukraine with European dimensions or implications.
✅ Pitch new article ideas and develop them in coordination with the other Analysts and the editorial team
✅ Participate in monthly meetings to coordinate within the section
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong English skills (C1 level or above)
- In-depth knowledge of national discourses in Ukraine on European issues (broad or topic-specific)
- Interest in EU/European issues in general
- Willingness to engage in regular team communication and content planning for publications
- Academic experience in, e.g., European Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Law, Environmental Sciences or related fields
- A talent for expressing ideas clearly and writing for a wider (not just academic) audience
