Sweden is arming itself with French Frigates

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson announced that Sweden has chosen France’s Naval Group to supply advanced frigates, strengthening Swedish and NATO naval air-defence capabilities amid rising regional security concerns.

Deal includes four FDI frigates worth over $4 billion

Ships will carry advanced NATO-compatible air-defense systems

The first frigate is expected to be delivered in 2030, with delivery of all frigates by 2035
