Russian Ballistic Missile Attack Hits Kyiv

Russia launched a large-scale ballistic missile and drone attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region, causing significant civilian casualties and renewed calls for stronger air defence support.

At least 17 people were killed and dozens injured in one of the deadliest recent attacks on the Kyiv region

Russia fired 24 ballistic missiles, additional hypersonic missiles, and more than 100 drones, primarily targeting civilian infrastructure

Ukrainian officials said shortages of Patriot interceptor missiles left the country unable to stop the ballistic missile attack

The strike is expected to intensify European discussions on accelerating air defence deliveries and strengthening Ukraine’s long-term security
