“E3 plus Ukraine” Back Five Principles for Peace in Ukraine

Ukraine, the UK, France, and Germany agreed on a summit in London on five key principles for a future peace settlement, emphasising a ceasefire, security guarantees for Kyiv, and a central European role in negotiations.
  1. Leaders called for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire by Russia
  2. Any peace talks should be based on the current front line and respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and alliance choices
  3. Ukraine should receive legally binding security guarantees, including a multinational force, after a ceasefire
  4. Frozen Russian assets should remain blocked until Russia ends its aggression and pays reparations
  5. European security interests must be protected in any agreement
