Ukraine Launches Largest Drone Strike on Moscow

Ukraine launched its biggest drone attack on Moscow since the start of the war, striking an oil refinery, disrupting air traffic, and bringing the war visibly closer to Russia’s capital.

Nearly 200 drones targeted Moscow, with Russia claiming almost 1,000 drones and four cruise missiles were intercepted nationwide in 24 hours

The Kapotnya oil refinery in southeast Moscow was struck, triggering major fires and thick black smoke visible across the city

17 people were injured, airports were temporarily shut down, and 500+ flights were delayed or cancelled

Volodymyr Zelensky framed the strike as retaliation for Russia’s attack on Kyiv, while Sergei Lavrov warned of further large-scale Russian strikes
