Bilateral trade reached €17.6 billion in goods in 2025, while services trade amounted to €10.3 billion in 2024

The agreement would give European companies greater access to a market of 113 million people, while opening opportunities for sectors including machinery, pharmaceuticals and agriculture

The agreement also strengthens the EU’s Indo-Pacific engagement and trade diversification. Negotiators aim to formally conclude it in the coming months, with signing targeted for 2027 in the Philippines
