Paula has a background in public affairs, with a focus on European policy in the areas of justice, home affairs, civil liberties, and democracy. She is pursuing an MSc in Global Public Policy at SOAS University, where her research explores the cultural dimensions of narratives that shape identity, political discourse, and governance in conflict-affected contexts.
Her interests centre on the protection of fundamental rights within democratic governance, particularly amid Europe's shifting socio-political landscape. More broadly, through her work she examines how policy can best address emerging challenges related to security, victimisation, or technological advancements, considering the implications of these responses across different levels of society.
