Accepted Submission Types: We welcome the following types of academic contributions:
- Academic Paper
Well-researched scholarly papers exploring European affairs, international relations, and policy issues. - Thesis
Comprehensive research projects showcasing original analysis on European policy, politics, and international relations, submitted for university degrees such as Bachelor, Master or equivalent. - Policy Brief
Concise, solution-oriented documents presenting policy recommendations on European and international affairs for decision-makers and stakeholders. - Analysis
Critical assessments of current political, economic, or societal trends in Europe and beyond, based on empirical data, literary sources and/or research. - Dissertation
Advanced doctoral-level research providing deep insights into European and international policy or governance. - Term Paper
University coursework papers analyzing European and international topics, applying academic research and structured argumentation.
Each submission must adhere to the general formatting guidelines below, with specific word limits depending on the type of work.
General Formatting Guidelines
- File Format: All submissions must be uploaded in PDF format.
- Language: Submissions are accepted in English, French, or German (other European languages may be considered).
- Font & Spacing: Use a clear, legible font such as Times New Roman or Arial (12 pt), with 1.5 line spacing and standard 2.5 cm margins.
- Title & Abstract: Every submission must include a title and an abstract (maximum 300 words).
- References: A full list of references or bibliography must be included at the end of the document.
Citation Styles
We accept multiple academic citation formats. Authors may use the style most appropriate to their discipline, including:
- APA (7th Edition)
- Chicago Manual of Style (Notes and Bibliography or Author-Date)
- MLA (Modern Language Association)
- Harvard Referencing
- Oxford Style (OSCOLA) – commonly used in legal writing
- Bluebook – for legal or U.S. policy-based analysis
Please use your chosen style consistently throughout the entire document.
Word Limits by Submission Type
The following word limits are guidelines to ensure consistency and readability:
- Academic Paper: 2,000 – 6,000 words
- Thesis: 25 – 60 pages
- Policy Brief: 1,200 – 5,000 words
- Analysis: 2,000 – 5,000 words
- Dissertation: 100 – 300 pages
- Term Paper: 2,000 – 5,000 words
Note: If your submission exceeds the word limit, we are still happy to receive it. Submissions that go beyond the suggested length will be individually assessed and considered for publication based on merit, clarity, and relevance.
